Modern dentistry and paediatric dentistry

Paediatric dentistry from prevention to treatment.

Paediatric dentistry – prevention

Paediatric dentistry begins earlier than many suppose – namely during pregnancy. It is about nutrition, about how sweet things are handled and about one simple fact: caries bacteria are transmitted, usually from the parents to the child.

From habituation to habit

The earlier dental care becomes a matter of course, the less has to be treated later. Regular preventive sessions – looking, cleaning, fluoridating – keep the dentition healthy and at the same time take away the child's shyness about the practice.

Why the gums belong to it

Children get gum inflammation too. With good oral hygiene it heals without consequences – overlooked, it lays the ground for later problems. Anyone who learned as a child to brush along the gum line has an easier time as an adult.
