Jaws that are too narrow or too flat, and areas of jaw that have wasted away, can be built up with bone taken from the patient
A jaw ridge that is too narrow will not carry an implant. It can be rebuilt with the patient's own bone – harvested from the lower jaw, the chin or the wisdom-tooth region.
